Hello Sudzers!
We met last Sunday (5/17) at Wagon Wheel BBQ in Mountain View and tasted five great homebrews. Thanks to Wagon Wheel and everyone who showed up.
- Stephan gave a presentation on making makgeolli, a traditional Korean fermented rice beverage. He also brought a couple of samples to taste. Thanks Stephan!
- Dark Matter: Stephan, Robert, and Allen got together earlier on Sunday the 17th to bottle this year’s club brew. The brew was divided into three batches: one regular, one flavored with vanilla and cocoa nibs, and one with oak soaked in bourbon. We ended up with around 106 12 ounce bottles. The abv is ~12%. The beer will be brought to the next few meetings for distribution to members who are paid up.
- NCHF: The NCHO board contacted the Sudzers about being one of the two clubs to serve food at the event. Members present at the meeting agreed that this is something the club should do.
- DOZE will be holding an all Bay Area homebrew club picnic on Saturday, August 8th at the Martinez Waterfront Park (11:00-4:00)
